LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 recently conducts the Skills Training on Fruit Processing and Food Safety Awareness which runs from June 3-5, 2019 right at the Center’s Training Hall.
It aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of the participants specifically, women and youth who were members of the Rural Improvement Club (RIC) and 4-H Club.
Introduction on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety Hazards and Personal Hygiene are among the topics that were delivered by Dr. Desiderio Julaton, a member of the Caraga Food Safety Team.
On the other hand, Ms. Carla Catral served as the Resource Person in the second day of training wherein she teaches participants on how to make candies out of watermelon rind. More recipes will be taught and served as the three-day training continues its lined-up activities.
