Florita G. Lozada, ATI-RTC 13 livestock focal person, presented the drafted guidelines for the Gawad Livestock during the coordination meeting on May 28, 2019.
AMPAYON, Butuan City – To create accord among the animal sector which includes the livestock and poultry industry, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 led the Technical Working Group (TWG) for Livestock coordination meeting on May 28, 2019 at San Lorenzo Pastoral Center.
This is in preparation for the upcoming Livestock Achievers Award which will give recognition to persons engaged in the sector who showcased their excellence and made a momentous contribution to the progress of the animal industry.
Moreover, the search would give an award to farmers who practice integrated farming system but its main activity and income come from livestock farming. Also, livestock Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) and regional livestock focal persons will also be given awards for their effort in elevating the animal industry in the country.
Members of the TWG are the following: Regional Agriculture and Fishery Council (RAFC), Department of Agriculture – Regional Technical Director (DA-RTD) for Operations, Livestock Coordinators Technical Staff, Regional Directors of Livestock Agencies, City and Provincial Veterinarians, State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) Representatives or Faculty of Agriculture, and ATI-RTC 13 Center Director and Livestock Focal Person.
