Engr. Matt Andrew Baquiano was the resource person during the 1st episode of the webinar series on concoctions.
BRGY. LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – Power interruption and connectivity issues did not prevent the successful airing of ATI-Caraga’s first webinar series entitled i-BIDA nATIn which stands for Internet-Based Intervention for the Development of Agriculture ng ATI Ngayon. The maiden episode was aired via Google Meet last Friday, May 22, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 10:20 AM with more than thirty registered online participants.
The episode was hosted by Ginalyn Arbutante, Information Officer II of ATI-Caraga, with Engr. Matt Andrew Baquiano, Organic Agriculture assessor and ATI-Caraga OIC-Section Chief, as resource person. The topic of the day was focused on the preparation of three concoctions namely Fermented Plant Juice (FPJ), Fermented Fruit Juice (FFJ) and Oriental Herbal Nutrient (OHN).
The program was interactive because participants were able to raise several questions that were satisfactorily answered by Engr. Baquiano in real-time. The presentation only lasted for 47 minutes and should have ended at 10:00 AM but since all questions were accommodated, the webinar was extended for 20 more minutes.
The online participants were composed of Agricultural Extension Workers, students, farmers, instructors and OFWs. Although the majority were from Caraga, a few were based in Luzon and the United Kingdom. They were very thankful to ATI for sharing to them the valuable knowledge on concoctions through a platform where they can acquire learning from home.
