Dr. Ashley Mae Abaday-Nono discussed the Poultry Industry in a Glance: Status and it's Potential in Caraga Region during the conduct of Training on Organic Free-range Chicken Production (Batch 1) at ATI-RTC 13 Los Angeles, Butuan City on May 20, 2021.
LOS ANGELES, Butuan City - If you wish to go for a healthier option in growing poultry, why don’t you try growing free-range chickens. This was learned from the Training on Organic Free Range Chicken Production (Batch I) held at the Golden Tara Hall of ATI-RTC XIII from May 19-21, 2021.
Free-range chicken is a way of growing chickens where they are allowed to roam freely outdoors rather than being placed in an enclosure.
Twenty coordinators of the Organic Agriculture (OA) program in Caraga region joined in the said training. The main objective of the training was to acquire essential knowledge, attitude and skills in raising organic free-range chicken production to produce quality, safe and healthy food products.
Topics of training were divided into three modules. These are Module 1 Poultry Industry in a Glance (Status and Potentials), Module 2 Free-range Chicken Production Technologies and Practices, and Module 3 Economics of Free-range Chicken Production. (with reports from Elena Madelo)
