Representatives from PAVO and the 13 municipalities and one city of Agusan del Sur attended the briefing of “Asenso ‘Kaw sa Cacao: School-on-the-Air on Cacao Production” last April 6, 2021 at Ernilita’s Dormitel and Events Venue, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.
Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur – The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII conducted its “Asenso ‘Kaw sa Kakaw: School-on-the-Air (SOA) on Cacao Production” Briefing on April 6, 2021 in partnership with the Provincial Agriculture and Veterinary Office (PAVO) of Agusan del Sur.
Said activity aimed to discuss matters on the finalization of the module, identification of resource persons, a preferred partner radio station on which audience reach was considered, final timeslot and day, and the roles and responsibilities of the municipal and provincial agricultural technologists, PAVO, and ATI-RTC XIII.
It was attended by the representatives from PAVO led by Mr. Oscar Jurado - High-Value Crops Development Focal Person, and focal persons from the 13 municipalities and one city.
Attendees gave their support and commitment in the enrollment of SOA students, to wit: Sibagat – 25, Bayugan City – 40, Esperanza – 40, Prosperidad – 40, Rosario – 40, Talacogon – 40, San Luis – 40, La Paz – 90, Loreto – 40, Veruela – 50, Sta. Josefa – 35, Bunawan – 40, Trento – 40, and San Francisco – 40.
The SOA program is set to start on the 2nd or 3rd week of May and will be anchored by Joel Corvera, the provincial farmcaster and SOA coordinator.
