Learning Site for Agriculture RTWG validate farms in AgNor

ATI-Caraga RTWG headed by Mr. Heracleo Paler and Engr. Matt Andrew G. Baquino interview Mr. Sixto Eyana as Learning Site applicant.

AGUSAN DEL NORTE- The Regional Technical Working Group (RTWG) of the Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) conducted field validations to the applicants as Learning Site Cooperators.

Senior Agriculturist Heracleo A. Paler, Chief of the Partnership and Accreditation Services Section (PASS) of ATI-Caraga headed the said activity. Along with him, were the members of the group namely Engr. Matt Andrew G. Baquiano, Ms. Nena L. Lomuntad and Ms. Ginalyn V. Arbutante as documenter.

The group were able to visit two farms in Brgy. Balang-balang, Remedios T. Romualdez, one farm in Brgy. Taguibo and one in Brgy. Bonbon, Butuan City.

Engr. Baquiano oriented applicants on their possible roles as LS Cooperators if ever their farms qualified as one. This is in accordance to the submission of the requirements and other needed documents within a given period.

One of the farms that were visited by the group was at Brgy. Balang-balang, Remedios T. Romualdez, Agusan del Norte which was owned by Mr. Sixto Eyana. It is a diversified farm planted with various high value crops such as banana, coconut and others. Fruit-bearing trees can be seen also in the farm such as mangosteen, lanzones, citrus, and a lot more. He had also his fishpond as well as livestock and poultry production.

Said farm validation was conducted on May 10, 2019.
