MARAWOY, Lipa City , Batangas – Levelling-up the different stakeholders skills on modifying meat to enhance its taste and to improve preservation, two representatives from Caraga Region joined the National Trainor’s Course on Basic Meat Processing on May 5-11, 2019 at the Agricultural Training Institute - International Training Center for Pig Husbandry in the Philippines (ATI - ITCPH).
Florita G. Lozada - ATI-Regional Training Center (RTC) Livestock Focal Person, together with Ms. Minda B. Manliguez – Meat Inspector II of Agusan del Sur Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) attended the said activity.
Participants were able to process mostly pork products such as canton sausage, que kiam, skinless longganisa, ham, siomai, tapa, embutido, and tocino.
All in all, there were 21 participants consist of staff from ATI-RTCs, State Universities, and Colleges and Senior High School teachers, and Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office (DA-RFO) Region VI.
