AgNor to host 2019 Regional Farm Youth Camp

CABADBARAN CITY, Agusan del Norte – Hailed as the overall champion of the 2018 Regional Farm Youth Camp, the province of Agusan del Norte strongly supported by the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 will host this year’s camp on April 29 – May 1, 2019 with the theme “Bida 4H: Bringing Innovation and Development in Agriculture through 4H Club.”

A hundred individuals composed of 4-H club members and coordinators in the entire Caraga Region are expected to attend the three-day event.

With its goal to develop each 4-H member by acquiring relevant inputs in agri-preneurship and the youth's role in embracing innovation and productivity in agriculture, seven contests will take place namely: 4-H Promotional Video Making Contest, On-the-Spot Canvass Painting, Spoken Poetry, 4-H Quiz Bee, 4-H Himig Handog (songwriting and singing competition), Cacao Based Food Processing and Packaging Technology, and Terrarium (Glass Gardening).

The activity will encourage the youth to participate and enhance their skills and capabilities to become productive partners in agriculture development and Regional level winners will compete in the National Congress.
