FITS Center staff equip on RAS

LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 recently conducting the Rice Crop Manager Advisory Services (RAS) Training of Trainers (TOT) Batch 1 right at the Center’s Training Hall, Butuan City.

More than 30 Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) comprising the staff of the Farmers’ Information and Technology Services (FITS) center of the different Local Government Units (LGUs) in Region 13 joined in.

Mr. Fil Victor A. Babanto, Chief of the Information Services Section acted as the Project Officer. He discussed the overview of RCM Advisory on the first day during the opening program.

Participants were taught on the use of Farmer and Farm Lot Registration (FFR) also with the use of the Global Positioning System (GPS) gadget to measure field.

More topics will be delivered by the assigned Resource Persons from the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office (DA-RFO) 13. There will be hands-on activities and field demonstrations within the 4-day training on RAS.

The said training just started on April 22, 2019, and will culminate on the 25th. This is in cooperation with the RCM Focal persons from the DA-RFO 13 and ATI-RTC 13.
