BUTUAN CITY – The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 endeavors to capacitate the Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) and co-operators of Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) in the formulation of Business Plan. This is to help them in assisting farmers and fishers to avail various financing interventions of the government.

One of these interventions is the loan and grant program in partnership with the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) through the Agricultural Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (ACEF). It aims to provide necessary credit to farmers and fisherfolk and their associations or cooperatives to increase productivity and reduce their production cost. However, among the constraints faced by farmers is the limited knowledge and impatience in the preparation of requirements particularly on the formulation of business plan.

With this, ATI-RTC 13 will conduct a Training on Writing a Winning Proposal on March 11-13, 2020 at the Amaris Suites, Butuan City. It will be participated by 30 AEWs from the Provincial and Municipal Agriculture Offices, representatives from the Agricultural Program Coordinating Office (APCO) of the Department of Agriculture – regional office and selected LSA co-operators.

The training aims to discuss the basics of business plan development and allow the participants to develop an appropriate plan in conformance to LBP template.
