PATIN-AY, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur – In coordination with the Provincial Agriculture and Veterinary Office (PAVO) of Agusan del Sur, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 will conduct the School on the Air (SOA) on Organic Agriculture Production starting this May 2020.

This is to strengthen the promotion of OA production technology in response to RA 10068 through the use of radio to reach a larger number of audience ranging from farmers, Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs), students, housewives, and other agri-enthusiasts’ individuals.

During its coordination meeting with ATI-RTC 13 and PAVO staff, presentation of module and a brief orientation of the roles of both agencies including the Municipal Agriculture Offices (MAOs) were done. Initial preferences of schedule and radio station was also discussed.

Final deliberation of tasks and responsibilities on the program implementation, finalization of modules, list of resource persons, commitments and identification of participating Local Government Units (LGUs) will be done during its briefing set on March 27, 2020 at PAVO Office.

Said SOA program will have 16 sessions and will be heard one hour per week.
