LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – To synchronize the programs to be conducted for this year 2019 and to assess the accomplishments for year 2018, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 held the Regional Consultation on Organic Agriculture program on February 26, 2019.

This was attended by 30 participants comprising Provincial and Municipal OA program Focal persons, OA practitioners, farmers, and personnel from the Department of Agriculture (DA)-Caraga.

Moreover, Ms. Rebecca R. Atega, Field Operations Division Chief of DA-Caraga, thanked the ATI’s approach in conducting the activity to avoid duplication of programs and other activities implemented by DA and ATI in the region.

In his message, Samuel L. Calonzo stressed that marketing should be given importance. Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) should be present not just during the production stage but also during harvest season. He further encouraged all to use any means of communication including social media in promoting agricultural products produced by the farmers.
