DA-Caraga Information Network convene, produce radio plugs

BUTUAN CITY- Spearheaded by the Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Section (RAFIS), Information Officers convene once again for a yearly meeting and workshop specifically on radio broadcast messaging.

This is to harmonize things out among attached agencies and bureaus of the Department of Agriculture-Caraga.

Said activity was participated by the Information Officers from the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), Philippine Rice Research Institute-Agusan Experiment Station (PhilRice), Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13, National Food Authority (NFA) and Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC). Farmcasters as well as Information Officers from the Provincial, Municipal and City Agriculture and Veterinary Offices in Region 13 also joined in.

Meanwhile, participants were able to write radio plug scripts during the first day and editing session by the group followed right after. On the second day, they were able to record and produce their own radio plugs in promotion of various projects and programs of their respective offices.

Moreover, Information Officers were able to produce 34 radio plugs. On the other hand, Ginalyn V. Arbutante, Information Officer II of ATI-Caraga was able to record five radio plugs during the workshop.

The said meeting and workshop was held in DA-Caraga Office’s Conference Hall, Capitol Site, Butuan City on February 23-24, 2021 with Aureleus Arais, Public Relations Officer II as Focal Person and Production Editor.
