Corn Program crafts 2022-2025 AEW-approach plans and programs

The Agusan del Norte group plans out trainings and other interventions for the province for 2022-2025.

LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – To harmonize the plans and programs at the local level, the Partnership and Accreditation Services Section of the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 13 hosted the regional consultative meeting and planning workshop for the Corn and Cassava program on Feb. 23, 2021.

Corn Program Point Person Caerian B. Muga reported last year’s physical accomplishments which were made possible through the overwhelming support of the local counterparts. Issues and concerns encountered during the implementation were also discussed as the basis for improvement. Also, Muga sought their usual cooperation as he presented the plans and activities set for 2021.

The activity also served as a venue for the identification of the need-based trainings for Agricultural Extension Workers in the long-term perspective. This information is important in crafting capability enhancement interventions for CY 2022 - 2025 as we shift from farmer-level to AEW approach upon the full implementation of Mandanas Ruling.

Ms. Meche Mae G. Parina, Technical Staff of DA-Caraga region presented the regional roadmap of the Corn Program while Agriculturist II Engr. Claire B. Pablo discussed the Cassava program roadmap.

A total of 18 program coordinators from the respective provinces, city and municipalities were in attendance.
