ATI-Caraga equips farmers to be financial literate

Farmers make a farm plan as their group activity during the Financial Literacy training on February 13-15, 2019.

LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- Thirty (30) participants comprising farmers from Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur and Butuan City, Agusan del Norte received their certificates of completion during the closing ceremony of the Financial Literacy training on February 15, 2019.

These farmers are the beneficiaries of Baug Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Bayugan City, ADS and Butuan City, ADN. They were taught with farm planning and farm record-keeping with Ms. Violeta Laguna Training Specialist II of ATI-Caraga. Participants computed their household income and expenses along with the savings and net profit during the group activity.

Ms. Dina Mejias from the Department of Agriculture- Agricultural Credit Policy Council (DA-ACPC) served as the resource speaker in the said training. She discussed the Agri-Credit Program that was offered by the ACPC as well as its features and lending policies and guidelines, procedures and requirements in loan application.

The training on financial literacy was held in ATI- Caraga, Training Hall based at Los Angeles, Butuan City on February 13-15, 2019.
