LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – Three Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) cooperators of the Caraga region received their extension support from the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 13 (ATI-Caraga) last February 1-3, 2021.

The following cooperators who visited the office were Virgilio B. Amocio of Bebot Farm in Alegria, Surigao del Norte; Ledia Aparre of Appare’s Farm in Brgy. Sumilihon, Butuan City; and Shiela Maglines of Guias Farm in Brgy. Nongnong, Butuan City.

They received the laptop, projector, TV set, and sound system to ensure quality learning among farmers and participants, once training and seminars are held in their farm.

The ATI clarified that there is a process being followed in the issuance of LSA certificates. A farm must be well-established and operating successfully practice applicable agricultural technologies, and employs doable farming strategies before an ATI certification is awarded. The equipment given by ATI is just minimal support as compared to the overall investment a farmer pours for the development and sustainability of his LSA farm.
