ATI staff reach out children in LAES through feeding program

Grade school children pose with lovely smiles while eating their afternoon 'binignit' meal.

LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 recently conducted a feeding program to the grade school children of Los Angeles Elementary School (LAES), Los Angeles, Butuan City.

This is in observance of the Institute’s 32nd Anniversary with a theme “Sustaining Vibrant Agricultural Productivity through Harmonized and Proactive Extension Services”.

There were two hundred (200) children participated in the said program. Ms. Marivic Pantonial, School Principal extended her greatest gratitude to the ATI for making their school as a recipient of the feeding activity.

“On behalf of the faculty and staff of Los Angeles Elementary School, I am so honored today that ATI visited our school and cared our children specifically to the malnourished ones by giving their something to eat”, Pantonial warmly said.

Each pupil received a pack of “binignit” and a bottled water good for their afternoon meal. The children enjoyed eating their food with their classmates laughing and giggling with each other. As children, being happy and satisfied to little things reflected on their innocent and smiling faces.

True enough that extension service doesn’t limit to farmers instead to the whole citizenry who needed our helping hands and care. ATI truly cares beyond boundaries.

The said feeding activity was enjoyably held at Los Angeles Elementary School in Los Angeles, Butuan City on January 29, 2019.
