ATI Caraga staff who will be taking the TOT on financial literacy.
LOS ANGELES, Butuan City - Access to agriculture finance is one of the 10-point agenda of the Department of Agriculture Secretary, Emmauel F. Piñol.
This refers to financial services ranging from short, medium and long-term loans to leasing. Down to crops and livestock covering the entire agricultural value chain- input supply, production and distribution, wholesaling, processing and marketing.
As the training arm of the Department of Agriculture, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 will conduct a Training of Trainers (TOT) on Financial Literacy this coming February 11-13, 2018 here at ATI Caraga Training Hall, Los Angeles, Butuan City.
There will be 30 participants comprising ATI staff and Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) in the region who will join in the said TOT.
This training aims at orienting participants with Agri-Credit Programs and be refreshed with financial literacy for an effective delivery of such program to the farmers.
In here, ATI staff and AEWs will be able to discuss financial literacy and its significance to Agri-enterprise development. They may also talk on special importance with our Filipino values in relation to successful Agri-enterprise.
As trainers, this would be an avenue to let them orient the clients specifically the farmers with Agri-Credit programs of the DA and describe the business cycles as well as the character of successful Agri-enterprises.
Formulation of Farm Plan and budget also with the other farm records are among the expected outputs from the participants.
