LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – Moving forward to support rice farmers in Caraga Region, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 will hold a series of Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Information Caravan this February 2020.
Members of the different agencies playing big roles in the RCEF implementation are expected to participate in the activity. These includes the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) - Agusan Experiment Station, Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech), Department of Agriculture – Caraga Region, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), National Food Authority (NFA), National Irrigation Administration (NIA), and the Provincial Agriculture Offices of Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, and Surigao del Sur.
The caravan will start on February 7, 2020 at Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur for the municipalities of San Francisco, Prosperidad, La Paz, and Talacogon while February 10 is set for Trento, Bunawan and Rosario. Surigao del Sur municipalities namely Cortez, Tandag City and San Miguel is scheduled on February 11, Tago, Bayabas, Cagwait on February 12, and San Agustin, Marihatag, Lianga, and Barobo on February 13.
Lastly, the information drive will culminate on February 14 set for Butuan City and RTRomualdez, Agusan del Norte.
