ATI -RTC 13 conducts EAsY Agri Virtual Assessment

Scholarship Point Person Mary Grace B. Salve presents the objectives of the EAsY Agri Virtual Assessment held on December 17, 2020.

BUTUAN CITY – As the First Semester for SY 2020 -2021 is about to officially close, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center conducted the Virtual Assessment of the Educational Assistance for the Youth in Agriculture (EAsY -Agri) last December 17, 2020 via Zoom.

The activity was conducted to review the grantees’ responsibilities and conditions for the breach of contract and update the status of the grantees’ activities and performance. It also aimed to harmonize issues and concerns in the program implementation and discuss the completion of semestral assessment by the scholars.

Scholarship Point Person Mary Grace B. Salve emphasized the need to internalize the responsibilities and conditions provided in the grantees’ Scholarship Service Contract to avoid default or breach of contract. She also mentioned that in line with the Free Higher Education context, the funds allotted for school fees was utilized for the provision of ICT tools. The grantees will be provided with Android Tablet in support to the online learning system under the new normal. She then discussed the completion of semestral assessment form by the grantees soon as their classes formally ends. This is to assess the scholar’s school performance and the progress of compliance to the requirements of the scholarship program, and more importantly to assess the effectiveness of management of the program by the ATI per semester. Salve also presented the status of provision of stipend and allowances of the grantees.

The 14 grantees of EAsY Agri scholarship grant for SY 2020 -2024 are: Rolyn Jay Aca-ac of Magallanes, Agusan del Norte; Banisa Amba of Basilisa, Province of Dinagat Islands; April Joy Ayala and Khymbirly Caoile of Bunawan, Agusan del Sur; Archie Estolonio of Bayugan City; Joshua Dalayap of Claver, Surigao del Norte; Cherry Ann Talictic of Tubod, Surigao del Norte; Darlyn Lawag of San Isidro, Surigao del Norte; Kristine Grace Odvina and Miela Dejande of Mainit, Surigao del Norte; Chivy Soliman and Lovely Reyes of Bacuag, Surigao del Norte; Rovelyn Corvera of San Agustin, Surigao del Sur and Jennifer Vasquez of Cagwait, Surigao del Sur.

Each of the grantees reported their various school activities such as answering of modules, online classes and practical exercises on some subjects. Most of them are yet to have their final examinations and are expected to extend the semestral end on January 2021, except for Surigao del Sur State University which ended the official classes for the first semester last December 18.
