ATI 13 staff strategizes Info Support to RCM Implementation

The ISS staff of ATI-Caraga and point persons in rice and HVCDP programs conduct the "Information Support to Rice Crop Manager (RCM) Implementation Assessment, Target Setting, and Planning Workshop for CY 2021.”

SAN AGUSTIN, Surigao del Sur – To ensure the smooth and harmonized implementation of Rice Crop Manager (RCM) deployment during the pandemic and to set targets for this year, selected staff of the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII convened and discussed strategies on strengthening information support to RCM implementation last January 6-7, 2021.

Fil Victor Babanto, Information Officer III, led the group in coming up with ways to encourage farmers to use the fertilizer recommendation generated from the RCM application. It was agreed that there should be an increase in the reproduction and distribution of RCM related Information Education and Communication (IEC) materials to farmers who visit agriculture offices and attend conventions, trainings, meetings and others.

Other activities such as briefings, information caravan, radio plugs or jingles, and subscriptions to digital and television advertisements for mass promotion were also proposed subject to availability of funds.

The said activity was held at Alameda Farm, San Agustin, Surigao del Sur and participated by five staff from the Information Services Section (ISS), two from the Career and Development Management Services Section (CDMS), one from Partnership and Accreditation Services Section (PASS), and one from the Administrative Unit.
