LOS ANGELES, Butuan City– As a form of celebration and tribute to the fulfillment of their duties as civil servants, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 held a “Salamat Mabuhay” program to two of its staff last December 20, 2019.

The gala was also a form of thanksgiving which started with an ecumenical mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. John Busante who stressed the importance of working together and acknowledging God as the source of every gift an individual receives.

Jocelyn A. Bayona was the Training Specialist III and Chief of the Career Development Management Services (CDMS) Section who served for more than 30 years in the government service. On the other hand, his husband - Levi B. Bayona was the ever ‘active’ purchaser and was once a driver of the Center. Both from Cotabato City.

“I have spent most of my life here at ATI and every step of the way, I learned many things, gained new experiences and was able to be with different people from the highest to the lowest status of the society. My husband and I were able to build our family and our children grew as to who they are right now with the rest of the ATI staff as their ninong, ninang and others. This is my family. ATI will always be a home for us,” says Jocelyn Bayona.

The two staff’s retirement will take effect in January 2020.
