ATI Compound, EL SALVADOR CITY---Since its debut on April 24 this year, our webinar series on urban agriculture via “AgriStoryahay” have continued offering learning and farming tips amid the global health crisis the country is facing today. The production of the said webinar series came in as response to the covid-19 pandemic which has restricted ATI’s conduct of face-to-face trainings.
“AgriStoryahay”, as shown at the ATI Northern Mindanao Facebook page airs at 10:00 AM every Friday. The series aims to engage viewers on urban agriculture to assure food availability at home and facilitate income-generating activities in these trying times. Aside from production and processing, the series also prompts viewers to plant vegetables for family consumption.
Its episode 6, Mr. Junah Bayag with daughter Jaya of Jaya Secret Garden in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon jointly prepared delicious home-cooked meals with most of the ingredients sourced out straight from their garden. The cooking demo have included healthy food items consisting of duck eggs with parsley, blue ternate rice, blue ternate juice, along with fried and nilagpang na tilapia.
The May 29 episode showing proper harvesting technique and a cooking demo generated the following comments:
