Quemado is one of the winners of the ‘Kwentuhang Agri’ video-making contest of the Digital Farmers Program 101 (DFP 101) batches 1, 2 & 3 in Northern Mindanao who were recognized during the 33rd anniversary celebration of the Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center X ( ATI-RTC X) on January 29, 2020.
There were 12 pairs, mostly farmer-youth tandems who bagged the awards . Winners received cash prizes with Php 15,000 for the first prize, Php 10,000 for the second prize, Php 5,000,and jackets. They also received a starter kits that would equip them to continuously apply what they learned from the training through a Digisack containing two smart phones, two power, banks, and two tripods, lapel microphones.
The winners for the 1st batch were the following: Ardjani S. Fernando and Gloria S. Fernando (1st place) with their entry , Regine Rose and Josephine Batingal(2nd place), Kay Amor Palanan Masong and Marlon Masong Sr.(3rd place); for the second batch, winner were: Edsel James Quemado Jr. and Numeriano Quemado III( 1st place), Jaya Bayag and Junah Bayag (2nd place), Maricon Lizada Ompoc and Kenneth Lizada Ompoc (3rd place), and Batch 3 winners were : Joseph Ompod Amoguis and Jeremiah O. Amoguis (1st place), Joseph Ompod Amoguis and Jeremiah O. Amoguis (1st place), Trisha Ana Flor Torregoza Maputi and Benjamin Maputi (2nd place), and Delia Gamao del Rosario and Joseph Tugas (3rd place).
Also, special prizes were awarded to Freddie Zamora and Edna Agcopra Jamito- Galang, Everly S. Cosmod and Kharen Lopez-magdale and Steve Sajulga Bernante and Daisy Bernante of DFP Batch 3.
Of the almost 50 pairs who were trained from the regional DFP rollouts in region 10, only half have submitted their entries, and winning videos were assessed through the following criteria: content (35%), use of digital tools (20%), and Facebook views (10%).
In region 10, the one-day training were on October 15, 2019 (Batch 1) at El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental; October 16, 2019 (Batch 2), and October 17, 2019 (Batch 3) at Jaya Secret Garden, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
