ATI-X briefs local media on RCEF

The media participants listen intently during the discussion proper. An open forum followed later for a chance to clarify and discuss issues regarding RCEF.

VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon---An information caravan for the members of the media was recently organized to discuss among agency reps the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF). Among the present media practitioners and news bureau include the Philippine Information Agency-Bukidnon (PIA-Bukidnon), 16 radio stations and three news publication press from all over the Province of Bukidnon. The participants convened in order to dig deeper into the topic of Rice Tarrification Law or RA 11203 and RCEF as spearheaded by the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X),

Invited agencies were present to discuss their respective components. Engr. Ian D. Madjus represented the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMec); Ms. Noemi Beth G. Macario from the ATI-RTC X; Mr. Daniel Canete from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA); Ms. Beverly Navarro from the National Food Authority (NFA) and Mr. Nelson T. Ocampo from the Landbank of the Philippines (LBP).

The activity which transpired Tuesday morning on November 12 was in response to the request made by Mr. Jun Sapanghari of UMBN-Radyu Ukay as well as to shed light on the provisions of the program and how RCEF all came to be.
