Tubod, Lanao del Norte---Aimed to appease the hunger for more knowledge and an eagerness to augment the learnings in their respective organic farm sites, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) mounted a competency training on organic production for AEWs and practicing organic farmers.
The Competency Training on Organic Agriculture Production (Training on National Certification on OAP NC II) was conducted intending to equip the training participants with knowledge and skills in order for them to pass the National Competency (NC II) certification for organic agriculture production.
Moreover, the participants were able to discuss in an open forum during the training proper, the revised 2016 Philippine National Standards (PNS) for Organic Agriculture. The training also employed different training methodologies such as lecture-discussions, practicum/hands-on activities, oral questioning and field visit.

Project Officer Javier P. Andalan made sure that the 35 participants composing of AEWs and farmers specifically those who are involve in organic farming like Learning Sites Operators, Trainers, Organic Farm Owners, Extension Service Providers were well-informed, competent and empowered.
