Poblacion, El Salvador City---A harmonized extension program implementation along with partner agencies was the common intention of the one-day Regional Consultation for the Extension Program Component of the Rice Tariffication Law or RA 11203.
OIC-Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez and OIC-Assistant Center Director Noemi Beth G. Macario led the discussion of deliverables and the much needed appropriate interventions of the center. Attended by representatives from DAR, PhilMech and TESDA, the consultation also aims to harmonize the schedule of activities as well as the creation of a Technical Working Group (TWG) for the Rice Competitive Enhancement Fund (RCEF) in its regional extension program.
Also present during the Consulation are from the Provincial Agriculture offices of Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental and Misamis Occidental.
With the coming up of agreements, ATI as the lead implementing agency will spearhead the implementation of extension activities which include Info caravan on the Rice Tarrification Law and Program, Trainings to capacitate farmers and other AEWs, seed component and machinery.
