CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Misamis Oriental – The Planning and Monitoring Evaluation Unit (PMEU) of the center, spearheaded by Mr. Philip D. Villegas conducted the sixth Tier 2 Assessment on August 13-14, 2019. The former for the province of Lanao del Norte and the latter for Bukidnon.
During the activity, they monitored the milestones and problems of the project per municipality through reporting and open forum. The forum was also a means to recognized the efforts of the implementers and partners in implementing the project.
The Tier 2 Extension Support to the 22 Poorest Provinces with the Highest Poverty Incidence in the Philippines Program (T2ES22PPP), also known as the Tier 2 Program, started last 2017 with 20 municipalities from Bukidnon and 22 from Lanao del Norte.
Presently, all the projects had already taken off. Most of the municipalities are already implementing their roll over scheme. The center had always pointed out the importance of the sustainability of the project to the participating municipalities.
Engr. Alson G. Quimba, Provincial Agriculturist from Bukidnon, congratulated everyone and emphasized the importance of monitoring of projects and its sustainability. According to him, projects should be closely monitored and its impact should be measured and seen in the reports in order to know the effectiveness of the program.
All in all, the activity was a success and the participating municipalities were all participative. The next assessment for the program was also agreed upon which is slated on November 6-8, 2019 for Bukidnon and November 13-15, for Lanao del Norte. (with reports from Angelica B.
