Tangub City, Misamis Occidental---The recently concluded 2019 Mid-Year Management Review is part of the measures undertaken to maintain the center’s ISO Certification. The assessment is based on how far the management have gone, how far certain programs, projects and targets were implemented and how far the center have complied with the quality systems that were set. The process owners through their presentation assessed to know how much is attained and achieved and the actions still to be executed. The mounting of the event which transpired on July 16 at the Hoyohoy Highland Stone Chapel Adventure Park in Tangub City, Misamis Occidental intended to come up with better results in the center’s plans and programs.
Hoyohoy Farm owner Loreto Leo S. Ocampos in his Welcome Message to the participants of the 2019 Provincial Consulation stressed the importance of working together with the key players which complete the supply value chain. Along with the efforts of ATI-RTC X, Mr. Ocampos is bent in converting every farmer in the region into entrepreneurs.
"That's the beauty of partnership and building relationship, through our active partners and cooperators, nakita namo ang value sa among trabaho", OIC-Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez said in her Opening Message to the participants of the 2019 Provincial Consultation. Echavez stressed to stick to the institute's policy direction---to go back to basics by harnessing the extension workers, by going directly to the farmers and by involving directly with them. The PAOs, MAFC chairs and representatives along with the Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) as partners in extension delivery has been instrumental in attaining the center’s extension efforts for its clients and beneficiaries as well as towards a more fruitful partnership with various stakeholders.
With its effort to come up with unified extension services and implementation of trainings among the five provinces in the region namely Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, and Camiguin, the 2019 Provincial Consultation and Training Needs Validation for 2020 with Training Needs Survey for 2021 was organized by the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) through the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Services Section (PMES). The regionwide event which transpired on July 17 at the Hoyohoy Highland Stone Chapel Adventure Park in Tangub City, Misamis Occidental intended to harmonize the trainings and extension activities of the center.
Meanwhile, a Learning Site (LS) validation transpired at Mr. Dega Farm in Tangub City, D FARM in Baliangao, Misamis Occidental and Diwat National High School Farm in Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental on July 18, 2019. The said three farms were all qualified for recommendation to ATI-CO to be accredited as Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA).
