Strengthening the sustainability of the Rural Based Organizations ( RBO) in the region is one of the main thrusts of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI). In support to the thrust, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 10 ( ATI-RTC 10) conducted the first leg of the Training on Re-tooling, Re-activation, Re-organization and Profiling of RBO and 4-H Partners in the region.
The training specifically aims to capacitate 4H officers, and 4H club coordinators of the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need for organizing, and sustaining projects, and activities of the organization.
The three-day activity was joined and participated by 26 4H club officers and 4H coordinators from the different parts of Bukidnon. Some of the participating municipalities were Malaybalay City, San Fernando, Lantapan, Impasug-ong, Cabanglasan and San Fernando.
A re-orientation on RBO and its different organizations, its history, background , significance and roles and responsibilities of each organization in the development of youth, rural women, and farmers in the region had been thoroughly discussed.
Also, participants had undergone series of lectures and workshop on proposal writing skills, and gender . They are expected to be partners of the institute in the delivery of its services such as conducting training and other related activities in the next year. Further, leadership skills, and skills on facilitating different activities were honed during the training.
Four more batches of the said training will be conducted this March. The activity was held on March 5-7, 2019 at NMACLRC, Dalwangan, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
