ATI-RTC X joins NOMCAARRD in creating online portal, ups Training Workshop on Web Writing and Webpage Designing

On going hands-on workshop on information graphic design as lectured and administered by Information Services Section (ISS) agent Jeric L. Cabatac (standing) to the training workshop participants at the IT Building, Computer Laboratory of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP).

METRO Cagayan de Oro City---The Northern Mindanao Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (NOMCAARRD) in joint collaboration with the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) and the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) through the College of Information Technology and Computing (CITC) recently mounted a Training-Workshop on Web Writing and Webpage Designing.

Attended by members of the Knowledge Management (KM) cluster from the Consortium Member Institutions (CMIs), the training workshop intends to create a website where it will serve as an online portal to its end users and online clients in terms of knowledge management and knowledge sharing. KM cluster coordinator Dr. Lucerne M. Razalo of Central Mindanao University (CMU) took the lead in convening the participants for the hands-on activities and mentoring.

NOMCAARD, as a research consortium, aims to evaluate researches conducted by the different member agencies; to promote interaction between and among researchers, extension workers, the local government units and other clienteles; to provide a venue for the discussion of the state of the art research and development activities in the region; to foster regional collaboration and information among member agencies; to establish future direction in research and development in Agriculture, Fisheries Natural Resources and Environment (AFNRE) and to provide a venue where Science and Technology Based-Farm (STBF) project results are presented.

Meanwhile, ATI-RTC X through the Information Services Section (ISS) headed by Information Officer III Noemi Beth G. Macario along with its resident visual artist Jeric L. Cabatac served as Resource Persons (RP). As per agreement, the center will provide support in terms of documentation, coverage of the website's progress as well as content development.

The training workshop transpired at the IT Building-Computer Laboratory of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP), Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City on December 11-15, 2018.
