CALAMBA, Misamis Occidental---To counter the low rice yield in some areas in Misamis Occidental, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) has designed an intervention appropriate to such incident such as the Technology Updating for the Agricultural Extension Workers in the 4th to 6th Class Municipalities. The technologies will cover Palaycheck System, Palayamanan, Pest Management, Farm Mechanization and Technologies shared in the Internet.
Technology innovations have played an important role in the development of the rice sector in the Philippines. Research and Developments continued to generate modern technologies in rice and make them available to farmers. The adoption of these technologies has provided opportunities for rice farming household to improve their incomes and food security. As reported, one of the contributors to gains in rice yields in the Philippines has been the adoption of high quality seeds, especially CSs. Better seeds coupled with some technologies will hope to increase yield and uplift the conditions of our farmers.

Rubin, the rice tech updating with new advancement in technologies in rice production intended to equip 30 AEWs and Farmer Leaders at the same time enable farmers to increase production and yield.
