ATI, PeLS mounts 14th National eLearning Conference in Mindanao

ATI OIC-Director Luz A. Taposok speaks before the participants of the 14th National eLearning Conference highlighting the importance of continuous innovation and in making agri-fishery information available to end users.

BUTUAN CITY, Caraga Region---"As a training institute, we must continue to innovate and optimize the opportunity in making (agri-fishery) information accessible through e-Learning to our stakeholders and various partners", stressed ATI OIC-Director Luz A. Taposok PhD in her keynote address during the 14th National e-Learning Conference held at Almont Inland Resort, Butuan City.

Collaborating to up the event, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) together with the Philippine eLearning Society (PeLS) were the principal sponsors which also happens to be a first national event in Mindanao.
The Philippine eLearning Society (PeLs) was founded on July 30, 2003 in Manila with the objective of promoting substantive content, appropriate pedagogy, and appropriate use of technology for eLearning, guided by ongoing research activities.

Members of the academe and international service providers such as Panopto, Blackboard, Canvas, Pearson, and Moodle attended the national event with a pre-conference activity took place at Caraga State University (CSU) in Ampayon.

Information Services Division (ISD) Deputy Chief Ms. Pamela Mappala of ATI-Central Office became one of the Board of Trustees in the election of new set of officers. The 14th National e-Learning Conference transpired at Almont Inland Resort in Butuan City on September 12-13, 2018.
