ATI-RTC X, El Salvador City---After a quick farm visit to the 1st Special Forces Battalion (SFBN) on July 13 this year and fresh from the successful staging of the Mid-Year Assessment, Management Review and Planning Workshop, members of the 1st Special Forces Battalion (SFBN) Captain Frankjo Boral and Captain Regidor Duldulao visited the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) on Tuesday morning July 17 for a coordination meeting; forging possible partnership and assistance for their community projects and peace programs.

One of their programs which represent their advocacy is the Mamamayang Payapa, Yaman ay Gulayan or MAMPAYAG, which they are implementing in Mampayag, Manolo, Fortich, Bukidnon where their camp is located.

The 1st SFBN has already partnered trainings and other capability building activities with Alomah’s Place, a Learning Site (LS) of the center which now is pursuing a new collaboration with the agency. Capt Boral has also attended trainings conducted by Semilya Sa Kinabuhi, an accredited Extension Service Provider of ATI.

On a similar note, the center supports community projects and peace programs like the “From Arms to Farms” Project which intends to provide help and assistance to rebel returnees through farming and agriculture as a viable source of livelihood.
