Pines, OROQUIETA CITY---To strengthen the implementation of the Organic Agriculture Program in Oroquieta City, a 3-day Training on Organic Banana (Cardaba/Saba) Production transpired on June 19 – 21 at the Misamis Occidental Enterprise Development and Research Center (MOEDRC), Pines Oroquieta City.

The activity was conducted by the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) through the Partnership and Accreditation Services Section (PASS) to capacitate the representatives of the six organic pilot barangays in the production of organic banana which includes Barangay Binuangan, Dolipos Alto; Dolipos Bajo; Burgos; Senote; and Ceriaco Pastrano. A total of 45 participants attended the training which is composed of the farmer leaders in the pilot barangays together with the assigned technical staff and AEWs from the City Agriculture and Fisheries Office (CAFO) and 12 on-the-job training (OJTs) students from MSU-Marawi.
