22 Participants Successfully Conquer FFS on Vegetable

TANGUB CITY, Misamis Occidental --- After five months of actual study and hands-on practice in the field, 22 participants of the Farmers Field School on Vegetable Production and Field Day finally graduated onJanuary, 26, 2017 at Highland Park Function Hall, Hoyohoy, Tangub City, Misamis Oriental.

Gracing the occasion are Mr. Dennis C. Leopoldo, the Provincial Agriculturist of Misamis Occidental; Ms. Necifin P. Cagaanan, Focal Person for Organic Agriculture; Mr. Clito Bejic, Barangay Captain of Hoyohoy, Mr. Leo Loreto Ocampos, former Governor and Congressman of Misamis Occidental; and, Ms. Maria Lydia A. Echavez, OIC Director of ATI-RTC X.

During the graduation ceremony, the participants were Personal Protective Equipment for use in the field. They were also given vegetable seeds as post-training support so that they may be able to apply directly what they have learned. In her talk, Ms. Echavez emphasized, “At the end of the day, atung huna-hunaon, piso (Let us remember the |one Peso"). Kung kana inyong natun-an karon dili na ninyo itanum, humahumahon, wala lang gihapon moi piso. (If you won't apply what you learned in this training, then you won't have money, or a Peso for that matter”).
