Filipino Food Month 2022 supports Filipino food heritage

As declared by virtue of Presidential Proclamation no. 469 signed in 2018, Filipino Food Month or Buwan ng Kalutong Pilipino is celebrated every April of the year. The national celebration aims in promoting and preserving the Filipino culinary culture and traditions and ensures that it is passed on to future generation. This year’s theme is “Pagkaing Pilipino, Susi sa Pag-unlad at Pagbabago.”

One of the agencies taking lead in the celebration is the Department of Agriculture (DA). As one of the link bureaus of the Department of Agriculture, the Agricultural Training Institute and its network of regional centers will be airing a series of webinars highlighting the vast Filipino cuisines for the whole month. The opening ceremony of Filipino Food Month was aired virtually on April 1, 2022, at 3 PM via social media pages.
