MLGU-FITS Plaridel receives Financial Assistance for RCEF FITS Kiosk Establishment

Ceremonial turn-over of Check assistance

OIC-Assistant Center Director Noemi Beth Macario, Ms. Maria Eloisa Akut with Municipal Agriculturist Virginia Namocatcat, the five Barangay Captains of Plaridel, Mis. Occ. during the ceremonial turn-over of a check worth 145,000 for the establishment of FITS Kiosk in Plaridel.

El Salvador City,ATI-RTC X --- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X awarded a check worth Php 145,000.00 to the Local Government Unit of Plaridel, Misamis Occidental through its Municipal Farmers Information Technology Services Center (FITS). This was in support of the establishment of its five FITS Kiosk established under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Program (RCEP). These FITS Kiosks are located at the following Barangays in Plaridel,to wit: Brgy Tipolo, Brgy South Poblacion, Brgy Eastern Looc, Brgy Katipunan, and Brgy Clarin.

The awarding of check was joined by Plaridel Municipal Agriculturist Virginia Namocatcat, FITS- TSS Melisa Sinconiegue, and the respective Barangay Captains of the barangay FITS Kiosk, to namely: Hon. Lucita M. Aviles, Hon. Zenaida Jandayan, Hon. Ignacio O. Del Rosario, Jr., Hon. Gregorio D. Aranton and Hon. Marlon D. Amil.

The ceremonial turn-over was spearheaded by OIC-Assistant Center Director Noemi Beth G. Macario and ISS Chief Maria Eloisa A. Akut. Akut in her message expressed her gratitude to the Barangay officials for the newly forged partnership and for their willingness to serve farmers in their locality through the making knowledge products on various agriculture and fisheries technologies available.

IECs on rice production technologies, RCEP, and other corporate publications of the Center were handed to the Barangay Officials for their FITS kiosk library.

The activity was held at ATI-RTC X Training Hall, El Salvador City on March 1, 2022.
