ATI compound, El Salvador City---The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 10 retains its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) under the International Organization for Standardization (ISO 9001:2015) certification during its 3rd Party Surveillance Audit conducted virtually by management systems solution provider, TUV-SUD Philippines Inc.
The team audited the Office of the Center Director, Career Development and Management Services Section (CDMSS), Purchasing/Property and Supply Management, Planning and Monitoring Evaluation Unit and the Information Services Section (ISS) which resulted in zero Non-conformities (NCs) and one Opportunity for Improvement (OFI).
The virtual audit for the centers was conducted on February 16 by TUV-SUD's lead Auditor Ms. Michelle Gelli with Ms. Katrina Joy Bicomong, to focus on the development and delivery of trainings; knowledge products and services; accreditation of extension service providers; extension system planning, monitoring, and evaluation. It was also aimed at measuring performance, evaluating process conformity, and recognizing processes that need improvement.
In 2018, the entire ATI network adopted the 2015 standards and was found compliant to the latest version of ISO 9001 which focuses on adopting risk-based thinking for QMS requirements.
The certification is in line with Executive Order No. 605, Series of 2007 for Institutionalizing the Structure, Mechanisms and Standards to Implement the Government Quality Management Program, Amending for the Purpose Administrative Order No. 161, Series of 2006.
