RTC X RCEF concluded its last batch of Training of Trainers on Production of High-Quality Inbred Rice, Seed Certification, and Farm Mechanization on August 16-27, 2021. This is the last batch of this training for FY 2021 under RTC X’s RCEF Program, headed by Project Officer Ms. Jhoylie Mae R. Caumban, DMO II, and assisted by Mr. Reymard M. Galarrita, Technical Assistant.

For FY 2021, the RCEF Program has targeted 2 batches of TOTs of which 1 has been conducted last May, using a blended mode of learning. A week-long discussion which was conducted virtually was done in preparation of another week-long hands-on activity. Farmers from all over the Region convened at Bukidnon to complete the training by participating in the hands-on activity that involved being at the rice field and operating different machineries.

However, in adherence to the guidelines issued by the different local government units which the participants will be coming from, the hands-on activity for the the recently concluded batch will be postponed at a later month due to surging cases of Covid-19. But with the postponement, the participants were never dismayed and still showed positive responses to the online training as they were very eager to welcome new learnings to become effective trainers in the future.
