16th P4MP Farmers" Congress Opens Today

TALISAY CITY, Negros Occidental. The Pambansang Mannalon-Mag-uuma, Magbabaul, Magsasaka ng Pilipinas (P4MP) opens its 16th Farmers’ National Congress here at Nature’s Village, Talisay City, Negros Occidental. The annual farmers’ event is attended by 150 farmers, Agricultural Extension Workers, Municipal/ City/ Provincial Agriculturists, P4MP Focal Persons of ATI and the DA-RFOs and guests, all from the different regions of the country.
In her inspirational message, Dr. Carolyn O. Daqiuo, Training Center Superintendent II of ATI-RTC VII, emphasized the 4 Fs in agriculture. FOOD, FUEL, FIBER and FEEDS. These Fs are the ones that farmers produce and need in the world. She further said that "we all need the farmers three times a day".
Dr. Daqiuo also reminded the participants of the necessary 5 Ps in any congress or convention. They need to see PLACES, meet new PEOPLE and friends, see new PRODUCTS, encountering new PARTNERS and network, and learn new PRACTICES.
As her challenge to the participants, Dr. Daqiuo has this qoute from Robert Kiyosaki: “ Change your focus from making money to serving people. Serving more people makes the money come in”.
With its theme empowering P4MPs Towards Global Competitiveness, the P4MP farmers congress will run until September 28, 2017.
