LS partners convene, underscores Project Proposal Presentation

Farmer turned chef and food enthusiast Ralph Gregor Sargento of Wang Lu Farm presents his project proposal to the panel. During his presentation, he shared his struggle and success in farming and how his determination helped him established his farm.

Limketkai Drive, Cagayan de Oro City---To equipped the farmer partner of the center in terms of project proposal writing and presentation, a one-day activity was organized by the center lately through its Partnership and Accreditation Services (PAS) to level off the perspective of LSA/SPA and ATI in terms of rules and responsibilities of both parties, to revisit the purpose of LSA/SPA which is to act as a Resource Person and a venue to showcase farm technologies and become a “big brother” to other small farmers and to check if the proposed projects are in line with the ATI mandate.

A proposal serves as a key management tool for the implementation of projects. The proposal and budget should follow a clear logic, and provide adequate description of activities and expected outputs to help a project manager implement the project.

Also, the purpose of a project proposal is to describe various services and outcomes from a potential service provider so prospective business partners can compare vendors and pick the best provider for their needs. It should be considered a sales document that persuades the decision-maker or stakeholder that the prospective provider has the skills and expertise needed to complete the project to their satisfaction. It should also set expectations, detail budget and timeline, as well as set expectations for what delivery would look like.

To better help the farmer participants, a set of panelist were invited to discuss and critique their project proposal. Presenters furnished copies to discussants and other panelists. The panelists include Administrative Officer IV Efren C. Macario, Training Specialist III Teodosia D. Jaraba, Information Officer II Maria Eloisa A. Akut, Development Management Officer I / Budget Officer Mael Japheth G. Alvarez, and Assistant Center Director Noemi Beth G. Macario.

“ATI will be calling for project proposals on January-March 2021, and with that being said, let us uplift the life of our co-farmers as ATI will continuously give support for capability enhancement of LSA/SPA partners for their self-improvement”, Assistant Center Director Noemi Beth G. Macario said in her short message to the farmer participants.

Among the presentors were the following: Mr. and Mrs. Ryan and Diola Galorport, James Inigo and Veronica Lastima, Nerea May and Hector Maghuyop, Luther and Azucena Balat, Ricardo Ponio, Sonia Berong, Albert Ysalina, Vic and Marivic Tagupa, Julieta Ebio, and Norma Abellanosa.
