‘AgriStoryahay sa ATI’, two ATI-X bloggers earn GMEA 2020 nominations

ATI Compound, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental---As announced earlier today in this year’s Globe (Telecom) Media Excellence Awards (GMEA), the media team of the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) got nominated in two different categories.

‘AgriStoryahay sa ATI’ webinar series is nominated under the Social Media Advocacy of the Year while Information Officer III Noemi Beth G. Macario and Media Production Specialist Vic Thor Palarca also got nominations each for Blog of the Year Award for their blog entries “A Silver Lining amidst Covid-19 Pandemic” and “Home Cooking, Eating, and Surviving a Health Crisis” respectively. Macario and Palarca's blog entries were also published in Filipinas Heritage Library via A Journal of The Plague Year: An Archive of Covid-19 in August this year.

The Globe Media Excellence Awards aims to recognize outstanding media and journalism practitioners from Visayas and Mindanao who showcase stories that highlight the most pressing issues of today, demonstrating excellence in journalism and creative storytelling of life in the “new normal”.

To date, Globe has received over 400 entries from Visayas and Mindanao. The winners will be announced through a livestream event. For GMEA 2020, entries highlight the issues and realities of “Life in the New Normal” such as the Covid-19 response, the impact of quarantine on different sectors, and the difficult road to economic recovery.

The GMEA 2020 Awarding Ceremony will be on the 26th of November, Thursday at 4:00 PM via Zoom.
