Lantapan, Bukidnon---To stimulate innovation, worker performance and experience an increased well-being among employees, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) through the Career and Development Management Section (CDMS) conducted a training on Transformational Leadership and Management at the Binahon Agrofrestry Farm (BAFF) in Lantapan, Bukidon.
Transformational leadership is a leadership style in which leaders proactively encourage, motivate and inspire employees to innovate and create change that will help grow and shape the success of an institute or company. The impact of transformational leadership reaches every level of an organization. At the team level, one can find members that care, stimulate, inspire and motivate each other. Upper-level transformational leaders set an organization's direction and vision, influencing how lower levels of an organization operate.
The said training was participated in by 30 Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) from the Provincial Agriculture Office (PAO) of Misamis Oriental. It was also in response to the training request of Provincial Agriculturist Jose Apollo Pacamalan to capacitate his colleagues and staff. The training also provided foundational framework for all LGU leaders, agency managers, extension workers and project/individual staff.
At the very core of the different activities, group dynamics and workshops, the training participants learned integrating life and work which seeks to bring about change from the inside out.
Organized and facilitated by Training Specialist II Moisa Niña D. Catiil on November 20-22, the participants later articulated their understanding and appreciation of the Transformational Leadership Framework, as well as given examples on how to integrate basic leadership principles and essential elements of teamwork in their context.
