Ready, Set, Cook: ATI-RTC X Staff Showcase Innovative Rice Recipes in celebration of OA Month, NRAM 2021

ATI Compound-EL SALVADOR CITY,MISAMIS ORIENTAL-- A gastronomic showdown was participated by the staff of the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) in celebration of National Rice Awareness Month 2021 and the 7th Organic Agriculture Month.

The activity mainstreamed healthy and affordable rice recipes in support to the celebration’s goal which is to promote healthy and responsible rice consumption, and sustain food availability in every table especially during this pandemic.

Four groups, composed of ATI-RTC X staff vied to win the Chef Wars Season 2: Organic and Rice Edition. This year’s cooking showdown was leveled up with emphasis on rice recipes and other healthy Filipino dishes that are unique and innovative, the healthy way.
Hailed as winner was Team Purple with their crispy rice balls, special vegetable soup and stir fry veggie sticky rice. The winner was announced during the culmination activity on November 26, 2021.

This year’s Board of Judges were ATI-RTC X Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echaves, Mr. Keemple Mark C. Darap, a Teacher-Entrepreneur from Central Mindanao University, A (left); and Mr. Daniel U. Salilo, a Culinary Instructor with nine (9) years’ experience with Shangri-La's in Barraljissah, Oman and Mactan, Cebu.

The activity was held at ATI-RTC X Cafeteria on November 23, 2021.
