Ms. Ezekiel L. Gutay is a second year Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) student in Xavier University (XU). As the first Kabataang OA Quiz Bee winner in Region X, she will be representing the region in the upcoming National Kabataang OA 2019 to be held in Manila.
ATI Compound, El Salvador City---Beating out 15 of the brightest participating agriculture students from the different universities and state colleges in Northern Mindanao on the recently concluded 1st Regional KABATAANG OA 2019, Ms. Ezekiel L. Gutay of Xavier University (XU) emerged as the winner in the battle of brain power and smarts via quiz bee on Organic Agriculture (OA).
The coming up with Kabataang OA Quiz Bee on a regionalized event was in line with the celebration of OA Month come November which intended to create awareness on organic agriculture as well as boost enrollment in agriculture and promote agri-related courses. Participating schools include Xavier University (XU), USTP-Claveria, MSU-Naawan, Central Mindanao University (CMU) and Mountain View College (MVC) in Bukidnon.
OIC-Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez graced and encouraged the student participants to do good, learn more and at the same time enjoy the agri-related competition.
Ms. Gutay received cash, a trophy and certificate from the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X), a full review scholarship at the AIM to Top Review & Training Center and is the official representative of Region-X in the upcoming National Kabataang OA Quiz Bee in Manila.
The 1st Regional KABATAANG OA 2019 Quiz Bee Top 5 Winners were Ms. Ezekiel L. Gutay of XU (1st place), Ms. Jhomarie C. Vallez of USTP-Claveria (2nd place), Ms. Cyril Ann A. Cabido of XU (3rd place), Ms. Janes Ohagan of USTP-Claveria (4th place) and Mr. Andronico C. Obsid of USTP-Claveria (5th place).
