El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental- A Series of Provincial Consultations for FY 2018 and FY 2019 are being conducted by ATI-RTC X. It was well attended and strengthened ATI’s relationship with various stakeholders in Agriculture. The first batch for Misamis Occidental was held on September 8, 2017. The second batch for Bukidnon was held at Malaybalay City, Bukidnon on September 12, 2017. The third batch for Lanao del Norte was held in Tubod on September 19, 2017. The fourth batch for Misamis Oriental was held on September 21, 2017 despite the suspension of work by the Palace. The activity pushed through as it has been set for quite sometime already. The last batch for Camiguin will be held on September 28, 2017 at Mambajao Camiguin.
The participants of the consultation are Municipal Agriculturists, Agricultural Extension Workers, Sangguniang Bayan Chair of the Committee on Agriculture, Regional, City and Municipal Agriculture and Fishery Council Chairmen, Learning Site owners and other stakeholders in Agriculture.
In the Lanao del Norte Consultation, the Office of Congressman Siao of Iligan City and the consultant from DAR-MINSAAD and JICA attended the activity.
The activity was designed to inform the participants of the new policy direction of ATI. It will also allow the participants to signify on what training and other extension activities for 2018 that they want to avail of. Their training and extension needs for FY 2019 were also gathered. Lastly, the participants are expected to submit an updated AEW profile for their respective provincial/ Municipal/ City Agriculture Offices.
