Information Agents convene for KM Updates, Netflix-type of media service to be launched soon

Information Services Division (ISD) Chief Antonieta J. Arceo and her team plans to come up with a Netflix-type of media service to its end users and clients to be launched sometime next year.

BUTUAN CITY, Caraga Region---A more aggressive approach and heightened media mileage intensifying coverage of farmer's success stories per commodity is what Information Services Division (ISD) Chief Antonieta J. Arceo of the ATI- Central Office wanted by 2019 during the 2nd Knowledge Management Updates held recently.

It has been a yearly event for the information services team across the network in the regions to gather for the Knowledge Management Updates or popularly known as KM Updates. A commendable strategy of the ISD to have a unified direction in providing services to its end users and beneficiaries.

The gathering is meant to strengthen efforts to refine approach through the team's Priorities and Planning Guide for 2019. Lately, Ms. Arceo and her team plans to re-brand the e-Extension Program by coming up with a Netflix-type of streaming media service. Also up in the pipeline is that ISD will focus on throwing special events such as "AgriTalk" and "AgriKids" at the same time forge ties with various media outlets.

She also urged everyone concerned to continue coming up with newsletters, make use of social media in disseminating information, and localize Information, Education, Communication (IEC) materials. More updates on eLearning & RCM, Techno Gabay Program, Web Analytics, Knowledge Products & Media Promotions were presented by ISD agents Joeven Calasagsag, Erika Vizcarra and Karl Louise Salibio respectively.

On its second day, a knowledge sharing on financial literacy through 'Kasama Ka" by FINTQ & SMART took place. It was later capped-off with some reminders and a few agreements presided by Ms. Arceo.

The yearly gathering which transpired on September 10-11, 2018 at Almont Inland Resort in Butuan City was attended by Information Services teams across the country composing of information officers and media production specialists. For ATI-Region X, Information Chief Noemi Beth G. Macario along with Information Officer II Honeylou C. Bastasa and Media Production Specialist Vic Thor A. Palarca attended the event.
