ATI RTC X recognize outstanding EAsY Agri Scholars, awards Certificate of Merit

Every semester, the Center awards Certificate of Merit to scholars garnering a general weighted average of 1.5 and above. For 2nd Sem of SY 2020-2021, Ms. Irish T. Gabac of Central Mindanao University (CMU) received a recognition with a GWA of 1.48, and for the 1st Sem of SY 2020-2021 Mr. Xerxel Dane Q. Ventic of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) with a GWA of 1.47. The Certificates were awarded virtually during the Midyear Assessment for EAsY Agri Scholarship Program for the 2nd Semester of SY 2020-2021 on July 29, 2021.

ATI RTC X is also equally proud of its EAsY Agri Scholars for excelling in their respective colleges at CMU. 4 scholars namely Ms. Irish T. Gabac; Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering, Ms. Starlyn B. Pasco, Junnard S. Coronel, and Careen C. Elloren taking up Bachelor of Science in Agriculture made it to the honors list for the 2nd Sem of SY 2020-2021. Previously, these scholars were also awarded with Certificate of Merits on February this year for garnering a general weighted average of 1.5 and above for the 1st semester of SY 2020-2021.

Ms. Maria Lydia A. Echavez, the Scholarship Focal Person presented a quick glimpse on the output of last semester’s assessment to check whether all the agreements were implemented. A graph showing the difference between the scholars’ 1st Sem and 2nd Sem GWA and a graph showing the subjects were most of the scholars got high and low grades were also presented. After which, a workshop on identifying the issues they have encountered as well as the actions they have taken and their recommendations was conducted to evaluate what transpired during the 2nd semester of this school year.

Moreover, a Seminar on Financial Breakthrough was conducted on the same day as part of the agreements made during the previous assessment. This was done to encourage the scholars to become responsible in managing their finances, and served as an avenue to discuss the topics on financial breakthrough. This activity was spearheaded by the Local Scholarship Committee of ATI RTC 10 and was participated by the 15 EAsY Agri Scholars together with their respective City/Municipal Scholarship Coordinators.

The Scholarship Program on the Educational Assistance for the Youth (EAsY Agri) of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) is continuously supporting the selected children of small-scale farmers and fishers in Region 10. ATI Northern Mindanao have fifteen (15) scholars among which are nine (9) taking up Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and three (3) Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering.
