Ms. Macario also introduced the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) as the training and extension arm of the Department of Agriculture. Among the major programs of the agency that she cited are: capability development through ladderized trainings for farmers, agricultural extension workers and other stakeholders in agriculture, including TESDA NCII and NC III Certifications ; Scholarship programs for the youth, both formal and non-formal; Development of Farm Learning Sites, FilFarm, and the services offered by the Information Services Section such as How-To's, technology and success story videos, localized brochures and leaflets. Aside from this, she also cited FilFARM, an online marketing site where farms and their products are advertised for free. She emphasized that anybody who wish to ask for assistance from ATI may visit its office in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental.
